The book is shown with my first practice toe! That's the yummy soft Cash Iroha which I figured would not only make cushy footlets, but is also easy to practice with. I'm thinking of making 2 pairs. One in the Cash Iroha and one in the orangey CTH. The Cash Iroha may be kind of decadent and not really practical but it's SO soft. I also have some ivory Cash Iroha that I can use to trim these.

Here's my third attempt at a toe, I've decided it seems to be a human toe size so I've started knitting the foot and we'll see how it turns out. Another nice thing about this yarn is it's easy to knit with so I don't mind experimenting and frogging which is a good thing right now!
In non-knitting life, one of the reasons I have been negligent in posting is my upcoming vacation. I've been trying to get a lot of work done and set up knitting projects to take with me. The socks are going to Grand Cayman where I will indulge in my other passion, making bubbles underwater. I was hoping to finish Smooch before I left but sadly she will probably remain in this nearly done state:
Too much to do and not enough time to knit!
Wow, cash iroha for socks - now that's luxury! Those will be some seriously happy feet. Nice looking Smooch too. It's such a fun top to wear!
