I've been practicing all sorts of sock toes. This one is my second attempt at knitting a sock on 2 circs. I'm using the techniques from the Socks Soar book, though I changed the cast-on from a provisional one to a figure-eight this time. Seemed to work out a bit neater for me. The first time I tried this I got horrible ladders up the sides, but I've been paying a little bit more attention to corner tension and it's coming along fine now. It occurred to me yesterday that I've only been trying toe-up socks. That's probably because the one time I tried grafting I found it very hard to see what I was doing. I've been reading about Lucy Neatby's trick of knitting a few rows at the the end of the sock with contrast yarn so you can just follow the path of the knitting to graft. So I'll have to try that again. But I have to finish at least ONE pair of socks for my pal! I want to finish the Cash Iroha pair but it's still too hot to touch fuzzy yarn.
And I am still sticking to my yarn diet! I haven't bought any yarn since February! I am deleting all yarn sale notices from my inbox immediately!

No new yarn since February?! You are my hero. Its tough for me to go a week without a yarn purchase, since I work within walking distance of a couple LYSs. I am way amazed at your non-yarn-buying. Keep it up!
